WHAT IS ALL-IN MASIA TRAINING?

Program Details & Why This Is Different

  • Coach Camilo Benitez is introducing the ALL-IN MASIA training program this Spring on March 31st.

  • The ALL-IN MASIA program integrates professional-level fitness training with technical development—a comprehensive approach modeled after top academies worldwide.

  • In the MASIA, we recognize that young players need early exposure to the complete development cycle found in MLS and international academies. Just as technical skills are crucial, we place equal emphasis on strength, conditioning, and recovery—foundational elements that separate good players from elite performers.

Our FTR (Find That Rep Fitness) x All In partnership creates a specialized training environment where players experience academy-level conditioning without overtraining. The program is carefully designed by professional trainers who understand youth development, ensuring appropriate intensity levels that challenge players while protecting their long-term physical development.

Players begin with high-intensity training during the first 70 minutes of each session. This program mimics match conditions, creating controlled fatigue that prepares athletes for real-game scenarios. When players have given their all during this intense period, they transition to patterns of play—replicating the demands placed on academy and professional players.

During this crucial second phase, we divide players into specialized groups focusing on technical precision under physical stress. Our coaches emphasize inside touches, first touches, give-and-go movements, and outside touches—all executed with tired legs. This methodology teaches players to maintain technical excellence even when physically challenged, a hallmark of elite performers at higher levels.

Players learn recovery techniques, proper nutrition guidance, and mental conditioning strategies that complement their physical development.

By participating in Masia, ALL-IN Athletes will gain invaluable insight into academy-level fitness & performance expectations while accelerating their overall development.

Why "Masia" ?

  • The Spanish Catalan word ‘masia’ is translated as ‘farmhouse' and it's the name of the FC Barcelona Academy, which started in a masia.

  • The FCB Academy focuses on player development on the field, but places as much emphasis on personal player development in the "gray areas" that most training programs don't cover.

  • Things like strength training, mobility, recovery, physical mastery, and personal player development.

  • This is the focus of the ALL IN MASIA training program, which is where the name comes from. At the very top level, it's important for our players to perform at their best ON the field, but the focus of this program will be building the foundation for our players to maintain that performance well into their careers.

  • Like we discuss further down the page, Coach Camilo knows from experience just how important physical health is, and he'd argue it's just as important at skill development on the field.

  • The ALL IN MASIA program will give your player eight weeks of professional physical performance training under a trained staff, using top of the line equipment so they can get the foundation needed to play at the top of their game as long as they desire. They'll learn how to manage the pressures that the top level brings. How to handle scenarios such as breaking in to a new team. How to recover after a long weekend of games. How to excel when times get tough. How to perform at the top of their game regardless of what is asked of their body. How to consistently perform well, even when the rest of the team is slacking.

  • This is what the best academies in the world excel at, and why their players hit the strides they hit. It's what we want for your son, and he will get 75-90 minutes every week on Mondays this spring doing exactly that under pro direction, which will give him the tools he needs to continue this kind of training into his 20s and beyond.

WHAT'S THE CURRICULUM FOR ALL IN MASIA?

Fitness & SAQ Training With FTR Fit

  • Every session will begin with 75-80 minutes of Fitness & SAQ training with Juan and Kevin Pichardo of FTR Fit.

  • Here's the structure of each session:

  • Intro + Warmup (7:30-7:40pm)

    • A gentle start to prepare young bodies for activity. Includes light jogging, dynamic stretching, and fun movement games to increase blood flow, loosen muscles, and mentally engage players for the session ahead.

  • Plyometric Training (7:40-7:55pm)

    • Explosive movement exercises that develop power and strength. These jumping, hopping, and bounding movements improve players' ability to generate force quickly—essential for winning headers, powerful shots, and explosive direction changes on the field.

  • Cardiovascular Training (7:55-8:15pm)

    • Endurance-building activities that improve players' stamina and recovery capacity. Includes interval training, small-sided games, and running drills that mimic the stop-start nature of soccer, helping players maintain energy throughout a full match.

  • SAQ Training (8:15-8:30pm)

    • Speed, Agility, and Quickness exercises that enhance players' ability to change direction rapidly, accelerate effectively, and react instantly to game situations. Uses ladders, cones, and reaction drills to develop the quick footwork and coordination needed for superior on-field performance.

  • ALL IN Training (8:30-8:50pm)

    • Passing patterns, 2v2s, and competitive ball work training

  • Mobility/Cool Down (8:50-8:58pm)

  • Close Out/Announcements (8:58-9:00pm)

Weekly Training Regimen Example:

After 75 Minutes of Fitness & SAQ Training...

  • The LEVEL of play that you or your athlete train at is directly proportional to in-game performance.

  • That's why as soon as the fitness training, the players will go right into competitive training and drills against other ALL-IN players.

  • Training with players at or above your level is the best way to improve. You can't get better when you're playing below your standard.

If you cannot compete, this isn't for you.

We're sending the emails for this program to all top team players on our boys side, and all players outside the club who have competed with us in the past. But we only have 56 spots. Which means we'll only have a spot for 11% of the players that see this page.

  • So if you're interested, click the button below to apply.

!! THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND !!

  • This program requires no release from your current club.

  • We can only accept 56 players per age group for this program to maintain quality. If you are interested at ALL, please click the button and leave a short application below.

Also if, for some strange reason, we don't hit 25 players per session, registration will close when the timer on this page hits zero.

WHO IS RUNNING ALL-IN MASIA?

Coach Camilo Benitez - ALL IN/SPORTING BV

  • Coach Camilo Benitez played for the Real Madrid Academy in Spain, played a stint at the AC Milan Academy, and then played for Sporting Kansas City Academy for 4 years and concluded his career with 2 years professional.

  • Coach Camilo is currently the head coach of all Academy youth boys at Sporting Blue Valley and the technical director for their MLS NEXT teams. His passion for playing turned to coaching, and each summer for the last five years he's focused 100% of his effort into helping players grow over the off-season through his ALL-IN program.

  • Coach Benitez is an extremely sought-after coach in the Midwest, and has the ear of all the top directors in youth soccer. He knows the game as both a player and as a coach.

  • WHY THIS MATTERS (A STORY FROM COACH CAMILO BENITEZ)

  • At a young age, my life revolved entirely around soccer. I trained more than 7-8 times weekly—soccer was my breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The pitch was my second home, and the ball, my constant companion. I poured every ounce of energy into developing my technical skills and game awareness, dreaming of professional success. However, there was a critical gap in my development: I never focused on recovery, stretching, or mobility work. Like many young players, I believed passion and technical skill alone would carry me to the top.

It wasn't until I joined more professional academies at age 13 that I began to understand the importance of these complementary aspects of athletic development. I watched older players meticulously preparing their bodies before training and diligently working on recovery afterward. Coaches emphasized the connection between physical maintenance and longevity in the sport. Unfortunately, this realization came too late—my body had already established patterns that would prove difficult to correct.

By 18, when I proudly signed my professional contract—fulfilling my childhood dream—my body was already compromised. What should have been the beginning of a promising career instead became a frustrating cycle of injury and rehabilitation. I spent roughly 70% of my time in the rehabilitation room, dealing with recurring groin injuries and hamstring pulls that kept me off the field when I desperately wanted to prove myself.

At 19, I faced my first major setback—a labral tear requiring surgery and nine months of grueling rehabilitation. The mental toll of being sidelined was almost as painful as the physical recovery. Just as I was returning to play, my other side developed similar issues, necessitating another surgery and nine more months of recovery. Each day away from the game tested my resilience and love for soccer. When I was finally preparing to resume my career, an MCL tear became the final blow that ended my professional playing days permanently.

While I can't know with certainty if early mobility training and strength conditioning would have prevented these injuries, I'm not willing to take that risk with the young athletes I now coach. This experience transformed my relationship with the sport—shifting my focus from personal achievement to ensuring others don't face the same preventable obstacles.

Given the competitive level we're playing at and the ambitious goals these players have, I believe comprehensive physical development isn't optional—it's essential. By incorporating these elements now, we're not just building better soccer players—we're protecting their future in the sport I love. My story serves as both a warning and an opportunity: through proper training at an early age, these young athletes can potentially achieve what injuries prevented me from accomplishing.

Juan Pichardo - FTR

  • Juan Pichardo is the owner and president of FRT Fit. As the owner of FTR, Juan has turned his childhood love of basketball into effective training programs for youth athletes as well as group training classes with personalized programming for adults.

Juan can’t remember a time in his childhood where he wasn’t playing basketball. He continued his love of the sport through high school, but tore his ACL as his high school basketball career ended. Faced with a 9 month recovery, Juan also had to admit being 100 pounds overweight was keeping him from his dreams. Juan recovered from his injury and on his own, lost that 100 pounds. The process wasn’t linear but he persevered and over the course of a few years reached his goal.

Juan also started running as part of his weight loss effort and ran his first marathon in 2021. During this time, Juan learned patience and that it takes time and persistence to achieve a goal . Through life trials and tribulations, he learned the process to accomplish and achieve goals. He didn’t want to keep the same regrets he had when he was younger and didn’t want that any to be his life.

In 2020, Juan created his vision of FTR and the doors to the first physical location opened in 2022. Drawing from his personal experiences as well as his work experience at other gyms and as a trainer, Juan has created a program that is designed to give youth athletes the skills, endurance, confidence and fortitude to excel not only in sports but in life as well.

Kevin became a NASM-Certified Personal Trainer in 2019, specializing in strength & conditioning, functional training, youth fitness, and mobility/recovery coaching.

His expertise isn’t just built from coaching—it’s shaped by personal experience. After overcoming neck, knee, and lower back injuries, Kevin understands firsthand how setbacks can impact performance. These experiences have fueled his approach to training, emphasizing injury prevention, smart movement patterns, and long-term body resilience.
